Cut Bank Outfitters is a family owned and operated company in Durango, Colorado. We take guests on guided float and wade trips on the Animas River and San Juan River.
Cut Bank Outfitters prides itself in working with some of the most professional guides in the Southwest. We ensure that every trip is catered to our guests wants and needs while on the water. Our guides value creating friendships and life long friends with people on the water.
The Animas river section that we primarily guide on is the valley float. There are lots of sight fishing opportunities and the scenery is second to none. Filled with hard fighting fish, this section is cherished by our guides.
The San Juan is a 365 day trout factory. Our guides can float this year round and we have 15+ miles of beautiful water to choose from. This is a great river for all skill levels and has fish that will make the memory book.
Caiden Boyt is the owner and operator of Cut Bank Outfitters. Caiden grew up in Northern Colorado and had endless exposure to mountain streams and lakes. He cut his teeth fishing on the North Platte river and alpine lakes for trout. When he wasn't on a river or in the mountains, people could find him at a smallmouth bass lake.
While attending Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado he had the opportunity to start guiding for Rio Grande Angler in Creede, Colorado during the summers. After graduating college he started guiding full time on the Rio Grande From April-September and then shifted gears to guide on the Animas and San Juan through the winter months.
It’s safe to say that Caiden spends more days creating friendships and guiding on the water than not. He claims that his 16’ Clackacraft drift boat is the best office he has ever had. Caiden's real passion is showing others how special the outdoors are and trying to help everyone create an experience on the river that is unforgettable.
